Bank Robber in a Lingerie Shop is a sketch that appears in "Untitled," the tenth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus. It also appears in And Now for Something Completely Different.

Synopsis[]

A robber (John Cleese) enters a lingerie shop and holds an assistant (Eric Idle) at gunpoint, first demanding money, then when he is told that it is a lingerie shop without money, he demands a pair of knickers.

Trivia[]

  • This sketch originated as 'Brake-Drum' and was written by Michael Palin and Terry Jones.
  • This sketch was originally written and recorded for Whither Canada?, to follow on from the planning room link at the end of "Dancing Soldiers and a Falling Pig" and was to follow into "Donkey Rides". However, John was unhappy with the finished sketch and the sketch was cut from the finished episode. It was later re-recorded as part of Untitled.
