Brian Cohen was the main character in the film Monty Python's Life of Brian. He was a kind, thoughtful man who was repeatedly mistaken for the Messiah throughout his short life. He was born the same day as Jesus and was visited by the three Wise Men who had accidentally entered the wrong dwelling. He had a horrible, cruel mother and his father was a Roman Centurion who Brian has never met, named Naughtius Maximus.

One Day Brian decides to join The People's Front Of Judea, a Quasi-militant group united against the Romans and he subsequently falls in love with Judith, an often ignored PFOJ member. During his struggles against the Roman Empire Brian can be found pranking the Romans, being pursued by both would be Disciples and Roman soldiers while meeting infamous characters including the legendary Bigus Dickus and aliens from outer space.

After eventually being captured and sentenced to crucifixion, Brian is nearly released, yet sadly, (presumably) dies on a cross, off-screen, while singing the epic song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life".

Brian Cohen was played by Graham Chapman.
