Chemist Sketch is a sketch that appears in "The Buzz Aldrin Show," the seventeenth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Synopsis

A chemist (John Cleese) enters and casually announces a group of people's prescriptions, with a man (Eric Idle) who has pox sheepishly claiming his prescription for his pox, a man (John Hughman) claiming medicine for a boil on the bum, a buxom woman claiming her prescription for a chest rash ("Have to get a bigger bottle", notes the chemist), and a man (Terry Jones) catching his medicine for wind.

A BBC voiceover (Idle) apologises for the poor quality of writing in the sketch.

A presenter (Michael Palin) shows words that are "not to be used again on this programme": B*M, B*TTY, P*X, KN*CKERS, KN*CKERS, W**-W**, SEMPRINI. A woman (Sandra Richards) walks on screen and asks confusedly "Semprini?" and the presenter sternly orders her out.

It cuts to the chemist entering with a prescription for a 'boil on his semprini', and a policeman (Graham Chapman) ushers him out of the set.
