Crossing the Atlantic on a Tricycle is a sketch that appears in "How Not to Be Seen," the twenty-fourth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Synopsis[]

A presenter (Michael Palin) tells of how Mr Roy Bent of North Walsham in Norfolk became the first man to cross the Atlantic on a tricycle, a 90-foot long structure with a protective steel hull, 3 funnels, 17 first-class cabins and a radar scanner. He says how Mr Bent (Eric Idle) is in their Durham studios, which is unfortunate as they're in London.
