Cut-Price Airline is a sketch that appears in "How to Recognise Different Parts of the Body," the twenty-second episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Synopsis[]
At Verrifast Plaine Co LTD, a porter (Eric Idle) carries Mr and Mrs Irrelevant's (Graham Chapman and Carol Cleveland) to a desk where a vicar wearing an eyepatch (Michael Palin) stands. The man takes Mr Irrelevant's tip, puts on a pilot hat and a moustache and goes round the other side of the desk.
Mr Irrelevant tells the man they're on a flight to America, to which the man replied they don't fly to America. The vicar elbows him and the man corrects himself, saying yes. He offers them to fly for £2 without insurance, and £102 with. He also tells them it takes 6 hours to fly, but as Mr Irrelevant repeats him in disbelief, he tells them 10 hours for the pair of them.
Mrs Irrelevant asks if it's a jet, and the man replies "it's more your Triumph Herald engine with wings." The man tells them they're taking off at 3300 hours but when Mr Irrelevant repeats in confusion, he corrects himself, and says 2600 hours for the pair. He informs them they will also need injections. The man calls the departure lounge and sends them in.
Mrs Turpin (Terry Jones) sits at a table with tea. She tells the couple about duty free food, offering 200 Eccles cakes each on the plane. She calls into a teacup and announces departure times as the flight crew carry a plane wing through the lounge. Mr Kamikaze (Vincent Wong) bursts into the lounge and announces they will smash the enemy fleet, before being dragged out the room by the vicar and the man. Mrs Turpin tells the couple he's the pilot.
