Frank the Famous Historian was a modern-time character in Monty Python and the Holy Grail played by John Young. He was seen telling the tale of King Arthur for a TV show, until suddenly a knight on horseback rode past him and killed him by slashing his neck with his sword. His murder started the police investigation that led to the eventual arrest of King Arthur, who was not even responsible for the crime himself. In the credits of the movie, it is revealed that his name is Frank.
