Mr. Cheeky with Nisus Wettus

Mr. Cheeky was a supporting character from Monty Python's Life of Brian. He was a happy Jewish man who was friends with Brian during him and his crucifixion, and both of them hated Romans. Mr. Cheeky hated them because they couldn't take a joke and called their noses "big". He was played by Eric Idle.

History

During the start of the film we see Mr. Cheeky, Brian and his mother in a group of people trying to hear Jesus' speech from a far, where they start a fight because Mr. Cheeky called a man "Mr. Big-Nose". He later appeared during the end where Nisus Wettus asks if he is going to be crucified and he jokes and says he is being let free. After he is placed on a cross, Judith asks the Romans if they can set Brian free, they say yes and some soldiers ask who is Brian, while the real Brian is cursing at The People's Front of Judea, so Mr. Cheeky says he's Brian and wave of people start saying that there Brian, but when the Romans take Mr. Cheeky off the cross he says it's a joke and it takes a while for the Romans to realize that. So they put Mr. Cheeky back on the cross and he sings the song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
