Monty Python Wiki

The Noel Coward-esque Singer is a singer from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. He was the "esque" parody to that of Noel Coward, who spoke in a similar voice and songs. He was, however, not the only "esque" in the film, as the "esque" of Tony Bennett appeared later. He wore a red tuxedo, a white undercoat and a black undershirt with jewellery around his neck. In "The Autumn Years" he is invited to a restaurant by Gaston and Maître D' and made a song for the customers called "Isn't it Awfully Nice to Have a Penis?" He was portrayed by Eric Idle.
