Philip Jenkinson on Cheese Westerns is a sketch that appears in "Salad Days," the thirty-third episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Synopsis

It is revealed the Cheese Shop sketch is a preview of the first 'cheese Western' called Rogue Cheddar, with later cheese Westerns being Gunfight and Gruyère Corral, Ilchester '73 and The Cheese Who Shot Libery Valance. Phillip Jenkinson (Eric Idle) transitions to talking about one of his favourite directors, Sam Peckinpah. Captions appear at the bottom of the screen 'GET ON WITH IT', 'AND STOP SNIFFING' and 'WILL YOU STOP SNIFFING'. He introduces 'Salad Days'.
