Series 4 was the fourth and final ever season of Monty Python's Flying Circus. It aired solely in 1974 and was shorted to 6 episodes as opposed to 13 due to the departure of John Cleese, who felt he had done enough without repeating. It premiered with The Golden Age of Ballooning and ended with Party Political Broadcast. It starred Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and also kept actors like Carol Cleveland and Lyn Ashley. For the season, the title was shortened to simply Monty Python.

Season Intro[]
The series aimed for the Circus shows to have more story arcs. This one opened with a medieval themed intro saying, “The Golden Age of Ballooning” which involved classical violin music playing a theme.
