Test Match Against Iceland is a sketch that appears in "The Attila the Hun Show," the twentieth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Synopsis[]
Three cricket announcers, Peter, Jim and Brian, (Graham Chapman, John Cleese and Eric Idle) in a Lord's commentating booth sit at a desk surrounded by bottles, drinking and smoking disinterested. Jim tells the audience the happenings of the game, getting tongue tied. He passes on to Peter who passes onto Brian who drunkenly begins to tell a story but it cuts to footage of the game.
The announcers commentate the game's boredom, applauding England's low-effort spirit. As the game progresses, the players are replaced with furniture.
