The Dull Life of a City Stockbroker is a sketch that appears in "It's the Arts," the sixth episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Synopsis[]

A stockbroker (Michael Palin) leaves his home in the morning for work; when he has left the house, his wife disrobes and two men in their briefs (Graham Chapman, Terry Jones) step out of the cupboards. He then begins his day, oblivious to the odd events surrounding him. His neighbour (Chapman) is speared by an African tribesman (Jones), he buys a newspaper from a naked woman, the Frankenstein monster (John Cleese) kills people at the bus stop, the bus is full of soldiers and is attacked by opposing forces, a driverless car takes him to work, various people in his office are dead, and a couple (Cleese and Carol Cleveland) snog at his desk. Finally reaching his desk, he reads a comic book.
