Trivia[]

  • The word "Whizzo" would be used throughout the series as the title of various companies and products, such as Whizzo's Finest Chocolates produced by the Whizzo Chocolate Company, for the Crunchy Frog sketch of "It's the Arts."
  • Bank Robber in a Lingerie Shop, The Dirty Fork, Johann Gambolputty and Donkey Rides were all filmed for this episode but were cut and resurfaced in various later episodes of the season. Some sketches retained their original recording for this episode ("The Dirty Fork", "Johann Gambolputty", "Donkey Rides") whereas "Bank Robber in a Lingerie Shop" was re-recorded entirely.
  • This episode's ""It's" man" sequence was filmed at Poole Harbour in Dorset on July 11th 1969. The slope of the beach was so shallow that Michael Palin had to walk a long way out to sea to become fully submerged.
